The Creative Founders Course curriculum covers the 6 Pillars of a Successful Creative Business: Core, Client, Brand, Money, Call, and Plan. We will provide you with actionable takeaways, engaging discussions, our proven course workbook, and plan as the founder of your creative business. First, we develop Your Core purpose and figure out the driving force behind your call to create. Second, we talk about Your Client where we identify and name our people and help you say "no" to the ones who aren't ideal. Third, we move into Your Brand where we futher develope your signature style and collections. Your Call is all about marketing and developing a plan that you can execute and that will work for you. Lastly, Your Plan is where we take a dive deep into the vision of your business and you create a plan for the upcoming year.

For 2016, we have updated content and a new platform and website that creates a beautiful learning environment.

The Society for Creative Founders Course (formerly Creative's Academy) is a 7-week virtual course designed to re-focus and re-energize your creative business goals within a community of like-minded creatives. This experience will help you find clarity in the dreams you have and guidance from our experts and your peers with an on-going, elite community.

    Your Core


    Defining your purpose and mission by honing in on your strengths, fears, passions, goals, and purpose is where we start and lay the groundwork for the rest of the conference and your business.

    Your Client


    Defining your ideal client is a must. You can’t be everything to everyone, so we’ll teach you how to identify who your client is and how that will help you grow your business. We’ll walk you through step-by-step to identify your ideal customer.

  • October 5

    Q&A Call


    A joint video call with the Your Core and Your Client coach and Jennifer to answer any questions you have so far and address any other needs you have in your creative business. These call are recorded.

    Your Brand


    Your Brand is the anchor of your company and how you take all the things you’ve learned so far and show it visually throughout your company. It is not just your logo. A big part of your brand is your own signature style and winning the “comparison game”.

    Your Money 


    After an Implementation week, we'll jump into financials. We all love what we do, but you must pay yourself fairly and priceo your product appropriately. We’ll discuss how you can do both and feel better about it, plus we’ll provide you with spreadsheets and resources to track all of your dollars.

  • October 26 & November 9

    Q&A Calls


    A joint video call with the Your Brand and Your Money coach and the Your Call coach with Jennifer to answer any questions you have so far and address any other needs you have in your creative business. These call are recorded.



     

  • October 28

    Your Call


    Your call is how you market your business and attract customers. We’ll discuss ways you can freshen your campaigns and implement some strategies as soon as you get home. You’ll leave with the beginnings of your marketing plan and how to “get yourself out there”.
     

  • November 4

    Your Plan


    All of our content leads to this: a plan. We’ll use our time together this week to iron out any uncertainties, try some marketing tactics to see what works for you, check things off your action items list, and leave with a real, actionable plan and vision for the future.

  • I loved that the course was broken down in modules that were discussed weekly along with the homework. It made it feel like I was in a real class and not just another webinar. It provided accountability, structure and outlined in detail the course work and discussions. Working through each week's homework forced you to plan, edit and dream in your business in a way that no other source was able to do for me.   • Is the Society for Creative Founders Course right for me? This course and community is for makers, artists and designers creating original, private lable products. Etsy shop owners, wedding stationery designers, branding designers, website designers, stationery designers, graphic designers, illustrators, hand letterers, and calligraphers have taken our course and found it to be a great fit. If you're planning to sell anything you create, make, or design as a tangible product (even printables), this is the place for you.
  • What can I expect? Your experience is highly personalized. You'll be welcomed by everyone – leave the competition mindset at the door – and you'll leave with 35 new friends and cheerleaders. Our coaches guide you each week and want to get to know you personally. We're an open book, and you can ask anything. Expect to be changed for the better. You'll graduate with the confidence to proudly say that you're a business owner, the the strength to pursue the new ideas you've had for so long, and more than anything else, how to do it with a plan that makes sense.
  • I'm not sure I can commit the time. How long does it take to complete the coursework each week? Although each week's content varies in length, it should take you 4-8 hours per week to complete the content. It really just depends on how quickly you work and where your strengths and weaknesses are. We can promise you that it's work the time you invest. We only open up registration for the Course one time per year, so if you don't want to wait until September 2017, grab one of our 30 seats now. 
  • What are the pre-requisites for attending the Course? Typically, our attendees are solo-entrepreneurs who have been in business for 1-5 years. Our curriculum is designed to meet you wherever you are on your business journey – it gives you an intimate, open, interactive format to learn, share experiences, triumphs, trials, and connect with others who’ve either been in your shoes or are standing right where you are now. If you're feeling like you need to hit the reset button on your business, or you're ready to get serious about your part-time hustle, you should join us. 
  • Didn't this course used to be called Creative's Academy? Why isn't it focused on stationery designers anymore? Yes! This is the course formerly known as Creative's Academy. As part of our company rebrand, we moved everything under one brand umbrella. Other than that, not a thing has changed. It's still for people in the stationery and gift industry, creating and designing their own private-label products or for custom designers like wedding invitation designers and brand designers. The course work has been updated for 2016, to reflect changes in the industry and new tactics we want to share with you! It's still the same great content you expect from Stationery Academy. Anyone creating a product of their own is perfect for this course. 
  • How is this different from the Creative Founders Conference? The obvious answer is that it's a 7-week virtual course instead of a 3 day, in-person event. The content IS different. We use our set of lessons in the Course. At the conference, our speakers are presenting their own content. It's a different experience for sure, but perfect for busy moms or someone looking to dip their toe into our learning experience. Many people attenf both!
