Filed under: Founder Spotlight, Guest Post, News

Today on the Blog, we are sharing about a brand new product making it's debut tomorrow, The Wedding Guide by Hope Johnson of The Little Blue Chair! Pre-Orders begin on Valentine's Day, and we are so excited this is finally out in the world after a long time of planning and creation.  Read all of the incredible details below, as written by Hope!  I'm Hope, the inky hands behind TLBC. I design wedding stationery for brides with an impeccable sense of taste. I believe in paper, words, and romance-and something beautiful happens when you combine them all. Be it a Jane Austen novel, a written note, or as you've assumed - wedding paper.  About a year ago, I felt like I heard God’s voice as He gave me a project that I am honored to have my hands on. Hi everyone, and happy New Year! I wanted to start off the year with a short note from me to all of you.  The last few months have been a bit of a whirlwind, and it’s really hard to believe that it has only been four months since our Announcement, isn’t it?!  In this time, a lot of changes have taken place, some which have been visible, others which have been hours upon hours of work behind the scenes learning the ins and outs of how this business is set up.   And most importantly, you have been at the forefront for every single decision that has been made for Creative Founders moving forward. It is incredibly important to me that when you spend time with us, whether if it’s on our website reading a blog post, interacting with us on social media, attending our Conference or a webinar or…

Missing the first conference the previous summer, some last minute openings and scholarships came available and I took a leap of faith to attend. I never knew that a little over a year from that conference, I would be at the helm of that ship, fostering a budding community at Society For Creative Founders. What started as a once-per-year conference grew into a huge community with business training and learning opportunities, both online and in person, for creative entrepreneurs multiple times a year. In July 2015, at our eighth conference in Phoenix, I met Kristin Wilson. She was shifting her business from wedding planning to stationery design, which she did successfully within six months after attending our conference. Since then,…

Cross Off 3 Months When Planning For The Year
Filed under: Guest Post, News

Why planning is for now - don't wait until the last minute! It's that time of year again. School is underway; the weather is probably getting cooler (depending on where you live), and the holidays are fast approaching (I know, I know--sorry to bring it up--but we all know it's true!). So, the time for planning is now! As a wedding stationery designer, you're wrapping up the final details for your brides. If you're an Etsy shop on online shop owner, you're ramping up your holiday marketing and hoping for a busy holiday season. If you're an artist, you're pushing for clients to get those custom family illustrations to you in time to make their Christmas, Hanukkah, and New Year cards. In the past, you may have waited until later in the year to do your annual planning, and I'm guessing you probably ended up feeling pressed for time with the holiday rush--parties are…
