Reviewing this Year Before Planning for 2018
Filed under: 6 Pillars, Community, Planning & Goal Setting, Your Plan

Before we start planning for 2018, it's important to review where we are now.  It’s December of 2017.  And everywhere we are turning, there are two main topics.  One:  The Holidays. Two: 2018. I love the potential that a new year brings, feeling like you’re starting fresh every year.  However, while we are planning for 2018 and what we want the year to encompass, I also think it’s important to take into consideration everything that happened this year, ask ourselves some questions, and build upon them as well.  So today, I wanted to give you a few questions to go through to reflect upon for the year, to ask yourself before setting your goals for 2018.   One:  What were some of your favorite memories within your business that happened in 2017, and what did you enjoy doing the most this year? It’s important to reflect on your favorite memories - what…

The new year is right around the corner. We have a family tradition around here of eating black peas and collard greens and watching football (it’s the south!). But we always start our morning watching the Rose Parade. My favorite part, other than the beautifully artistic floats, is seeing the marching bands. There is a ton of excitement for these kids. Many of them are traveling that length for the first time, plus they get to be on tv! Maybe I love it because I…

This is lesson 2 of a four-part series called "Too Many Ideas, Not Enough Time! Challenge" Class. You can read lesson 1 here. To learn more, read this post about the class. To join in, register here and get both the pre-challenge workbook and the Class Workbook (25 pages of awesome content to go from 1,001 ideas to your best ideas!). On to todays lesson! My mom came to visit for Thanksgiving. Early Sunday morning, with a regrettably early flight, we set off to take her to the airport for her flight home. When we got out of our neighborhood, I realized you couldn’t even see the skyline of downtown Nashville. The fog was so dense, we couldn’t even see bridge overpasses until we were just about under them. Visibility was only a few feet! We could only see what was just in front of us and were hoping not to find someone…
